I'm running an A500 with Kickstart 1.3 and we thought this may have been an issue but we weren't sure as Supaduper doesn't have an A500 but is certain that it should work with all versions of KS.Īnyway, any help would be very much appreciated on this topic from anyone that has this setup as to where I might be going wrong. Insert a usb thumb drive into the usb port on the floppy emulator. Flip the synth back to its normal position and plug it in. Replace the 6 screws that you removed earlier. Flip the bottom of the synth back onto the top. Carefully connect the ribbon and power connectors. When plugged in to the external floppy drive port the Gotek lights up fine as does the USB stick light and in workbench 1.3 the device shows up as well so it IS being recognised by the machine but it's not booting the selector on power up or reset. Insert the new floppy drive emulator into the bay and screw it in.

We've tried the jumper on both S0 and S1 at disk position 000 (the selector boot) with the same result and all manner of tinkering with soft resets and the like. I've had a bit of a back and forth with Supaduper and he's been a great help and we're certain that the Gotek is not malfunctioning.

It's all set up to be plugged into the external disk drive port but when I power up it just goes to the 'insert disk' image instead of booting the selector on the USB stick. Juts got myself a nice shiny new Gotek floppy emulator/usb stick/disk drive cable package courtesy of Supaduper (thanks mate!) but I'm having a little issue with it that I need some help with.
